Valencia, Spain – March 19th
Las Fallas is a very popular traditional celebration held in Valencia, that attracts around 1 million people each day. The five days festival is a mix of street parties, parades of huge satirical sculptures and many fireworks shows. On the final night, March 19th, these sculptures are burned one by one. This celebration is named La Cremà.
Venice, Italy – July 12th
Each year Venice celebrates the ‘Festa del Redentore’ the third Sunday of July, with a fireworks show over St Mark’s Bay. At sunset, the bay is filled up with decorated boats of all kinds. At night, the show begins. The reflections on the water, the city bathed in colorful lights and the play of shadows arouses a magical and touching moment for all visitors.
London, Great Britain – November 5th
An annual commemoration is celebrated in Great Britain on November 5th, it’s named Guy Fawkes Night, Bonfire Night or Firework Night. This festivity glorifies King James I who had survived an attempt on his life.
Today, London’s annual fireworks festival marks Bonfire Night with an impressive firework display, and attracts around 50,000 visitors.
Berlin, Germany – December 31st
One of most important European street parties on New Year’s Eve is celebrated in Berlin, attracting more than 1 million people. The celebration consists on a giant open air party until the early morning hours, with DJs, live concerts and of course the spectacular fireworks show.
