The Carmo Convent
‘Wonderful’ is not even strops enough to define the Carmo Convent. Its architecture is unique and held by the ruines of the nave. The latter, formed by transverse arches meant to hold the roof, which doesn’t exist anymore, is one of the masterpieces of the place. Have a walk in this open sky nave and admire the Peruvian mummies who live there. Get lost in a museum full of Paleolithic history of Portugal. The Jerónimos Monastery
Also of Manueline style, the Jerónimos Monastery hides fabulous treasures. Its unique architecture which looks like that of the Belém Tower, will impress you.
