What you need to see and visit while in Quebec City by motorhome?
The Château Frontenac and the Terrasse Dufferin
Starting by two places from the XIX° century, you will be amazed by their beauty and their architecture. On one side you will have the Château Frontenac and on the other the Terrasse Dufferin. The Château Frontenac is an historical hotel in Old Quebec opened in 1893. This building is part of National Historic Site of Canada since 1981. It has 611 guests rooms and offer a wonderful view over the Saint Lawrence River.
Few steps away from there, you will find yourself walking on the Promenade de la Terrasse Dufferin offering a terrace to overlook the Citadelle of Quebec and the river. The Terrasse Dufferin has a long history that you can read here.
Quartier du Petit Champlain
Named after Samuel de Champlain who founded Quebec city in 1608. The Quartier du Petit Champlain is a small commercial zone and it is claimed that it’s the oldest commercial district in North America.
During your walk in this district, you may see 2 murals. One painted on the side of the house located at 102 rue du Petit-Champlain, and the second one 32 rue Notre Dame.
The Montmorency Falls
The area surrounding the falls is protected within the Montmorency Falls Park. Montmorency Falls are 83 meters tall, which means they are 30 m higher than Niagara Falls. In the park, there are several points of view and each of them will amaze you differently. This is a place you can’t miss while in Quebec City!
