The good days are here and you are about to go on a motorhome trip. But if you didn’t use your vehicle the past few months, you might need to clean your motorhome before summer and before going on your trip. Here are some advice we wanted to give you to clean all the different parts of your motorhome.
How to clean your motorhome’s interior:
You will need a cloth or a duster, household gloves, a sponge, a vacuum cleaner, washing soda and some white vinegar. You can also take window cleaner you prefer it to white vinegar for the windows.
- Start by cleaning dust in the whole interior. Start by the top so the dust will fall on a place you will clean after.
- Put some white vinegar on a cloth and clean the chassis, sink and cupboards with it, you can also clean your windows with it, but you can also use a window cleaner if you prefer.
- Unplug your fridge, empty it, and clean everything with tepid water and washing soda. Rinse well and wipe it.
- Reconnect the fridge, you can clean the seals with a wet sponge. Do not use white vinegar or bleach on it.
- Clean the toilets with white vinegar.

How to clean your motorhome’s exterior:
You will need tepid water, a cleaning agent, microfibre cloths and a scrubbing brush.
- Start by cleaning the roof.
Because there are hoot vents on the roof and sometimes roof windows, it is not recommended using a high-pressure cleaner or even a garden hose, even with a low pressure. However, you can use them order to clean the frame, if there is mud on it.
Use the scale to go on the roof and use a scrubbing brush with tepid water and cleaning agent. Brush the roof as many times as needed if it’s really dirty and do not hesitate to insist on black marks.
- Once the roof is clean, rinse it well and dry it with microfibre cloths to polish it.
- Wash the rest of the motorhome the same way
How to clean your motorhome; the awning:
