ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, owned by the ZSL Society, an association focused on the global protection of animals and their natural habitat. Recognisable even from a few kilometres away by the silhouette of a large white lion dominating one of the park’s hills, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo has recreated some very special environments, such as the Butterfly House, which has only been open since 2016 and is already very popular with visitors, but also the Sea Lion Pool, the Passage through Asia, which can be accessed by car (or by the Jumbo Express), Cheetah Rock, etc. Every day you can watch the sea lion show or the colourful world bird show at the aviary. 🇨🇿 Zoo de Prague ~ Prague, Czech Republic
Prague Zoo is a Czech zoological park located on the outskirts of the capital Prague, next to Troja Castle. It was founded in 1931 with the aim of “advancing the study of zoology, protecting wildlife and educating the public”. It occupies 45 hectares of land and houses about 4,600 animals, representing about 630 species. Prague Zoo has played a key role in the preservation of Przewalski’s Horse and for many years was the world’s leading breeder of this subspecies.
