These lakes are known in part thanks to the Tour of Spain cycling race which passes each year through the peaks of Europe.

3. Lake Leman, Switzerland

5. Killarney National Park, Ireland
Three lakes are part of this park located in the famous County Kerry. There are Lower Lake, Middle Lake and Upper Lake. Since 1982, the park has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a biosphere reserve. It is also Ireland’s largest natural park. Hikers will be the happiest in this wild park of 10,000 hectares.
