📜 Giveaway terms and conditions
Article 1: Organizer
SAS CARAMAPS, with capital of €350,000, hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer,” with its registered office at 19 rue Jules Noriac, 87000 LIMOGES, France, registered under RCS Limoges number 813 901 592, is organizing a free game with no purchase necessary, called “Big Summer Giveaway,” taking place during the following periods:
- June 1 to June 30, 2025
- July 1 to July 31, 2025
- August 1 to August 31, 2025
Each period will have a separate prize draw.
Article 2 : Participants
This free giveaway with no purchase obligation is exclusively open to adults residing in mainland France (including Corsica) and holding an active user account on the CaraMaps app.
Excluded from the giveaway are individuals who do not meet the above conditions, as well as employees of the Organizer, anyone directly or indirectly involved in the design, execution, or management of the giveaway, their spouses, and their family members: direct ascendants, descendants, or other relatives living with or without them.
The Organizer reserves the right to request proof of eligibility from any participant. Anyone who fails to meet these conditions or refuses to provide proof will be excluded and will not receive any prize if selected.
Participation implies full acceptance of these rules.
Article 3: How to Participate
Each valid contribution on the CaraMaps app automatically counts as one entry into the prize draw. The more you contribute, the more chances you have to win.
Valid contributions include:
- 📍Sharing new locations (campsites, service areas, parking lots, nature spots…) and/or new tourist activities
- 💬 Adding comments on places visited
- 📸 Adding photos on existing listings
- ✍️ Updating existing locations with new practical information
The giveaway is automated: each contribution is tracked via the Organizer’s internal database.
Only contributions that align with the app’s rules and spirit (relevant, non-fraudulent, and complete content) will be accepted. Any non-compliant, fraudulent, or inappropriate content may be rejected without prior notice (e.g. irrelevant content, spam, false information).
Non-compliant entries will be disqualified. Incomplete, incorrect, or illegible entries—intentional or otherwise—or those submitted outside of the specified method will be considered void.
The giveaway is completely free and requires no purchase. Participation is only based on valid contributions to the CaraMaps app.
Article 4: Prizes
For each giveaway period (June, July, and August 2025), Decathlon e-gift cards with a total value of €500 (incl. VAT) will be awarded, broken down as follows:
- 3 gift cards of €150
- 1 gift card of €50
The cards can be used:
- At all Decathlon stores in mainland France and on Decathlon website;
- In the overseas territories (Reunion, Martinique, Guadeloupe);
- In Belgium, the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Canada, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Bulgaria.
They can be used in full or in part, on all products and services, and are valid for 2 years from the date of issue. The cards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be converted into cash.
Total prize value across the giveaway: €1,500 (incl. VAT).
Article 5: Selection of Winners
At the end of each giveaway period (June, July, August 2025), a random draw will be held among all valid entries for that period. Each valid contribution equals one additional chance to win.
Article 6: Winner Notification
Winners will be contacted via email using the address provided during their CaraMaps registration.
Article 7: Prize Delivery
E-gift cards will be sent by email to the winners within 15 days following the end of each giveaway period.
Each winner must confirm receipt of their prize within 15 days of the sending date. After this period, and without a response or in the event the prize is refused, it will be considered forfeited and no claims will be accepted.
Winners agree to accept the prizes as offered, with no possibility of exchange — in particular for cash, other goods or services of any kind, or transfer to another person. Likewise, no requests for compensation will be accepted.
The “Organizer” reserves the right, in the event of an occurrence beyond its control — especially related to suppliers or unforeseen circumstances — to replace the announced prizes with prizes of equivalent value. Winners will be informed of any such changes.
Article 8: Use of Personal Data
Participants’ information is recorded and used by the “Organizer” to register their participation in the contest and to facilitate prize allocation.
Participants’ contributions (such as the addition of points of interest, updates, photos, comments, and activities) are also taken into account within the framework of this contest.
Participants may, for legitimate reasons, object to the processing of their personal data provided as part of this contest. They also have the right to object to the use of such data for commercial prospecting purposes, outside of their participation in this contest. This right may be exercised upon registration by sending a written request to the “Organizer” at the address indicated in Article 1.
In accordance with the latest version of the French Data Protection Act and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR), participants have the right to access, rectify, and erase their data, restrict its processing, request data portability, object to processing, and withdraw their consent. These rights may be exercised by sending a written request to the “Organizer.”
Data is retained for the duration necessary to manage the contest and is then deleted or anonymized, unless otherwise required by law.
Article 9: Giveaway rules
The Organizer may extend, shorten, modify, or cancel the game at any time, including in cases of force majeure, without any compensation due to participants.
Article 10: Intellectual Property
The reproduction, representation, or use of all or part of the elements comprising the contest, including these official rules, is strictly prohibited.
All trademarks, logos, texts, images, videos, and other distinctive signs reproduced on the site, as well as on websites accessible via hyperlinks, are the exclusive property of their respective owners and are protected as such under the provisions of the Intellectual Property Code applicable worldwide. Any unauthorized reproduction constitutes an infringement and is subject to criminal penalties.
Any total or partial unauthorized reproduction of these trademarks, logos, and distinctive signs constitutes an infringement liable to criminal prosecution.
Participation in this contest implies full and unconditional acceptance of these official rules by the participants
Article 11 : Responsability
The “Organizer” shall not be held liable in the event of force majeure or any unforeseeable circumstance beyond its control.
The “Organizer” shall not be held responsible for delays, losses, theft, or damage to mail, or for illegible postmarks caused by postal services. Likewise, no claims shall be made against the “Organizer” in the event of circumstances qualifying as force majeure (such as strikes, weather conditions, etc.) that partially or entirely prevent participants from taking part in the contest and/or winners from benefiting from their prizes.
The “Organizer”, as well as its service providers and partners, shall under no circumstances be held liable for any incidents that may occur during the use of the prizes by the winners or their guests, once the prizes have been awarded.
Similarly, the “Organizer” and its service providers and partners shall not be held liable for the loss or theft of prizes by the winners once the prizes have been handed over. Any additional costs related to the receipt or use of the prizes shall be borne entirely by the winners, who may not claim any compensation from the “Organizer” or from any of its service providers or partners.
Article 12: Disputes & Claims
These official rules are governed by French law.
The “Organizer” reserves the right to make final and binding decisions regarding any difficulty that may arise in the interpretation or application of these rules. No claims will be accepted, particularly concerning the contest procedures, results, prizes, or their delivery, beyond one month after the end of the contest. Except in the case of obvious error, it is agreed that the information resulting from the Organizer’s game systems shall have probative value in any dispute concerning connection data and the computerized processing of contest-related information.
Any claim must be submitted to the “Organizer” within one month following the end of the contest. After this deadline, no claims will be accepted.
Participation in the contest implies full and unconditional acceptance of these official rules.
Article 13: Proof Agreement
By express agreement between the participant and the Organizer, the Organizer’s computer systems and files shall be the only authoritative source of evidence.
The electronic records, kept in the Organizer’s computer systems under reasonable conditions of security and reliability, are considered as proof of communications and interactions between the Organizer and the participant.
Accordingly, unless there is a clear error, the Organizer may rely, particularly for evidentiary purposes, on any acts, facts, or omissions recorded in programs, data, files, logs, operations, or other elements (such as tracking reports or other statements), whether digital or electronic in nature or format, created, received, or stored directly or indirectly by the Organizer, especially in its computer systems.
These elements shall constitute valid proof and, if produced as evidence by the Organizer in any legal or other proceedings, they shall be admissible, valid, and binding between the parties in the same way, under the same conditions, and with the same evidentiary value as any document that would be established, received, or stored in written form.
Any action of any kind carried out using the login and password assigned to a participant upon registration shall be irrefutably presumed to have been carried out under the sole responsibility of the participant
